Its very important to stick to single niche on a single blog, like if you write on Fitness which is specifically just for anything or everything related to fitness (or) India Blog which is just for India related topics which come to your mind. The more you research on a specific niche you can find better topics and can write more about it. Its always better to write in your own way rather than getting writers to blog on your blog because what general writer do is just rewrite some stuff and sell these to you, but when you write a article you would obviously research on that topic and write a better article.
try to write solutions about the same. Discussion boards always can help you in getting lot of topics and if you are looking for a example check out the official Apple support forum where you can find thousands of topics created daily and many of these are left unanswered, find the ones which you can solve and try to blog about them since in most cases users try to search in the search engines if their answers are unanswered in the discussion boards.
Always try to note down whatever question you find if its related to your niche and try to blog about it and dont ever think about short term results, because blogging is not really easy and you cannot expect results within a couple days or months of a blog launch. Its takes in a lot of dedication, interest, research, self-updations to become a pro-blogger.
